    Alternative Name

    UBE2E3

    Background

Protein Background: UBE2E3 (Ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2 E3) also known as UBCH9 and UbcM2. UBE2E3 is a member of the E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family which is required for post-replicative DNA damage repair and plays an important role in various cellular processes. UBE2E3 can accept ubiquitin from the E1 complex and catalyzes its covalent attachment to other proteins. In vitro catalyzes 'Lys-11'- and 'Lys-48'-, as well as 'Lys-63'-linked polyubiquitination. Participates in the regulation of transepithelial sodium transport in renal cells. May be involved in cell growth arrest.

Short Description: Recombinant UBE2E3 protein that includes full length of human UBE2E3 protein (accession number NP_001265483.1) was expressed in E. coli and contains an N-terminal His tag with a molecular weight of 25.08 kDa. The purity of the protein is ≥ 90 % by SDS-PAGE.

    Aliases: Ubiquitin conjugating enzyme E2 E3, UBCH9, UbcM2
