    Purpose

    Human IgG Fc Antibody

    Cross-Reactivity (Details)

Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Goat Serum, Human IgG, Human IgG F(c) and Human Serum.  No reaction was observed against Human IgG F(ab).

    Characteristics

Anti-Human IgG (H&L) generated in goat detects human Immunoglobulin G (IgG), both heavy and light chains of the antibody molecule are present.

    Purification

Anti-HUMAN IgG F(c) (GOAT) Antibody is an IgG fraction antibody purified from monospecific antiserum by a multi-step process which includes delipidation, salt fractionation and ion exchange chromatography followed by extensive dialysis against the buffer stated above.

    Immunogen

    Optional[Immunogen]: Human IgG F(c) fragment
  • Application Notes

Application Note: Anti-Human IgG F(c) fragment is suitable for use in immunoelectrophoresis, western-blot, competitive western-blot, ELISA and competitive ELISA assays. Specific conditions for reactivity and signal detection should be optimized by the end user. Immunohistochemistry Dilution: 1:1,000 - 1:5,000 Western Blot Dilution: 1:2,000 - 1:10,000 ELISA Dilution: 1:20,000 - 1:100,000 Other: User Optimized

    Background

Receptors bind the Fc portion of human IgG and often this fragment is removed from immunoglobulins to minimize receptor binding and lower background reactivity. Secondary Antibodies are available in a variety of formats and conjugate types. When choosing a secondary antibody product, consideration must be given to species and immunoglobulin specificity, conjugate type, fragment and chain specificity, level of cross-reactivity, and host-species source and fragment composition. F(c) Antibody is ideal for investigators who routinely perform flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry or IHC and other immunoassays.
