Additional transcription changes likely associated with Th2-like eosinophilic inflammation were prominent and included increased EMR1&3.
EMR1 expression is restricted to mature blood and tissue eosinophils. Targeting of eosinophils with afucosylated anti-EMR1 antibody shows promise as a treatment for eosinophilic disorders.
CD11b (show ITGAM Antibodies) and F4/80 appear to participate in conjunctival eosinophil infiltration in allergic conjunctivitis.
These results demonstrate that MafB (show MAFB Antibodies) is essential for podocyte differentiation, renal tubule survival, and F4/80 maturation in a distinct subpopulation of nonadherent mature macrophages.
Expression of CCR2 and F4/80 increased after ethanol feeding in WT mice, but such increase was less evident in H-STAT3KO mice.
c-Maf (show MAF Antibodies) is required for the F4/80 expression in macrophages in vivo.
Flow analysis indicated little overlap between the F4/80 and CSF-1R (show CSF1R Antibodies)-positive populations in peritoneal macrophage.
This gene encodes a protein that has a domain resembling seven transmembrane G protein-coupled hormone receptors (7TM receptors) at its C-terminus. The N-terminus of the encoded protein has six EGF-like modules, separated from the transmembrane segments by a serine/threonine-rich domain, a feature reminiscent of mucin-like, single-span, integral membrane glycoproteins with adhesive properties. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
