Human HTRA4 Protein expressed in Insect Cells - ABIN807967
Singh, Zhao, Chen, Wang, Li, Kaituu-Lino, Tong, Nie: Human HtrA4 Expression Is Restricted to the Placenta, Is Significantly Up-Regulated in Early-Onset Preeclampsia, and High Levels of HtrA4 Cause Endothelial Dysfunction. in The Journal of clinical endocrinology and metabolism 2015
HtrA4 represents a novel placenta-specific serine protease (show F2 Proteins) that is altered specifically in early-onset preeclampsia with potential causal roles in endothelial dysfunction and disease development.
Conditioned media from these two cell lines after decidualization treatment suppress HtrA4-expressing JAR (show MYO6 Proteins) cell invasion in an HtrA1 (show HTRA1 Proteins)- or HtrA3 (show CAPN5 Proteins)-dependent manner.
Data suggest that increased HtrA4 (and HtrA1 (show HTRA1 Proteins)) in placenta tissues may be involved in onset of pre-eclampsia; elevated level of HtrA4 (but not HtrA1 (show HTRA1 Proteins)) in sera has potential as biomarker for pre-eclampsia.
study reveals a novel function of GCM1 (show GCM1 Proteins) and HtrA4 in regulation of trophoblast invasion and that abnormal HrtA4 expression may contribute to shallow trophoblast invasion in preeclampsia
FLJ90724 or HTRA4 is a member of the HtrA (show HTRA1 Proteins) family of proteases
mice, featuring a conditional null allele of HtrA4, may provide a valuable tool to investigate the role of HtrA4 in development and pathogenesis of coronary heart disease and preeclampsia.
This gene encodes a member of the HtrA family of proteases. The encoded protein contains a putative signal peptide, an insulin growth factor binding domain, a Kazal protease inhibitor domain, a conserved trypsin domain and a PDZ domain. Based on studies on other related family members, this enzyme may function as a secreted oligomeric chaperone protease to degrade misfolded secretory proteins. Other human HtrA proteins have been implicated in arthritis, tumor suppression, unfolded stress response, apoptosis, and aging.
