Single-nucleotide polymorphism in HLA-DP (show HLA-DPB1 Antibodies) is associated with cervical cancer susceptibility.
rs3077 in HLA-DPA1 is a significantly associated SNP associated with chronic hepatitis B virus infection and viral clearance.
This resource provides population estimates of the frequencies of HLA alleles at these eight loci in the three population groups, particularly for HLA-DPA1 and HLA-DPB1 (show HLA-DPB1 Antibodies) that were not assayed in HapMap.
DPA1*02:01- DPB1 (show HLA-DPB1 Antibodies)*14:01 and DPA1*02:01- DPB1 (show HLA-DPB1 Antibodies)*17:01 haplotypes provide considerable protection effect against Posner-Schlossman syndrome.
HLA-DP (show HLA-DPB1 Antibodies) gene polymorphisms are strongly associated with chronic hepatitis B virus infection.
The study suggests that HLA-DPA1/B1 loci are candidate susceptibility regions that have some marker single nucleotide polymorphisms for both chronic hepatitis C virus infection and F protein generation in the Han Chinese population.
Single nucleotide polymorphisms rs3077 and rs9277378 in HLA-DPA1 and HLA-DPB1 (show HLA-DPB1 Antibodies) are significantly associated with protective effects against chronic hepatitis B.
HLA-DPA1 and DPB1 (show HLA-DPB1 Antibodies) allele frequencies and haplotypes of the population of Guadeloupe were most similar to African populations, with characteristic alleles and haplotypes that bespeaks the admixture with other ethnicities.
Crystal structure of the extracellular region of the HLA-DPA1/DPB1 (show HLA-DPB1 Antibodies) heterodimer, in complex with the major antigenic peptide from the Japanese cedar pollen allergen.
Data indicate that CD4 (show CD4 Antibodies)+ T cell allorecognition of HLA-DP (show HLA-DPB1 Antibodies) is significantly affected by DPA1 polymorphism.
HLA-DPA1 belongs to the HLA class II alpha chain paralogues. This class II molecule is a heterodimer consisting of an alpha (DPA) and a beta (DPB) chain, both anchored in the membrane. It plays a central role in the immune system by presenting peptides derived from extracellular proteins. Class II molecules are expressed in antigen presenting cells (APC: B lymphocytes, dendritic cells, macrophages). The alpha chain is approximately 33-35 kDa and its gene contains 5 exons. Exon one encodes the leader peptide, exons 2 and 3 encode the two extracellular domains, exon 4 encodes the transmembrane domain and the cytoplasmic tail. Within the DP molecule both the alpha chain and the beta chain contain the polymorphisms specifying the peptide binding specificities, resulting in up to 4 different molecules.
