Proteins of the matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) family are involved in the breakdown of extracellular matrix in normal physiological processes, such as embryonic development, reproduction, and tissue remodeling, as well as in disease processes, such as art. Additionally we are shipping Matrix Metallopeptidase 24 (Membrane-inserted) Kits (19) and Matrix Metallopeptidase 24 (Membrane-inserted) Proteins (12) and many more products for this protein.

Human Polyclonal MMP24 Primary Antibody for WB - ABIN4892303
Ross, Fillmore: Identification of a novel human MT5-MMP transcript variant in multipotent NT2 cells. in FEBS letters 2007
MT3-MMP expression is spatially and temporally restricted
embryos injected with the soluble form of MT3-MMP exhibited decreased expression of these same marker genes
metamorphic tail and intestine RNA levels of TIMP-2 (show TIMP2 Antibodies), MT1-MMP (show MMP14 Antibodies) and Gel-A, but not MT3-MMP or TIMP-3 (show TIMP3 Antibodies), are elevated during periods of cell death and proliferation
MT5-MMP emerges as a new pro-amyloidogenic regulator of APP (show APP Antibodies) metabolism, whose deficiency alleviates amyloid pathology, neuroinflammation and cognitive decline.
APP (show APP Antibodies) carboxy-terminal fragment generation is mediated in part by membrane-bound matrix metalloproteinases such as MT5-MMP, referred to as eta-secretase activity
identify MT5-MMP as a membrane-type metalloproteinase responsible for the shedding of the N-cadherin (show CDH2 Antibodies) ectodomain in this niche
MT5-MMP-deficient mice did not develop neuropathic pain with mechanical allodynia after sciatic nerve injury.
MT5-MMP retrieval to the plasma membrane is regulated by Mint-3 (show APBA3 Antibodies) by binding to its carboxyl end motif EWV
These results suggest that ABP directs MT5-MMP proteolytic activity to growth cones and synaptic sites in neurons, where it may regulate axon pathfinding or synapse remodeling through proteolysis of cadherins or other ECM (show MMRN1 Antibodies) or cell adhesion molecules.
Findings demonstrate an essential role of MT5-MMP in the development of dermal neuro-immune synapses and suggest that this metalloproteinase may be a target for pain control.
MMP24 overexpression is associated with lung cancer metastasis.
Polymorphisms in MAP3K3 (show MAP3K3 Antibodies), MMP24 and IGF1R (show IGF1R Antibodies) are associated with greater height and act additively on height in children of an admixed population.
In absolute mRNA levels, significant differences were found in expression of MMP2, MMP24, and MMP25 in gastric carcinoma compared with superficial gastritis.
MMP-24 gene silencing by RNAi can suppress the invasiveness of ovarian cancer SKOV(3) cells in vitro.
MT5-MMP is expressed in normal human endometrium and there is enhanced exprestion in endometrium from patients with entometriosis with strongest signal in epithelial cells.
These results suggest more than one human MT5-MMP transcript may exist in the central nervous system.
Proteins of the matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) family are involved in the breakdown of extracellular matrix in normal physiological processes, such as embryonic development, reproduction, and tissue remodeling, as well as in disease processes, such as arthritis and metastasis. Most MMP's are secreted as inactive proproteins which are activated when cleaved by extracellular proteinases. However, the protein encoded by this gene is a member of the membrane-type MMP (MT-MMP) subfamily\; each member of this subfamily contains a potential transmembrane domain suggesting that these proteins are expressed at the cell surface rather than secreted. This protein activates MMP2 by cleavage. The gene has previously been referred to as MMP25 but has been renamed MMP24.
