C16ORF53 (PA1) is a component of a Set1-like multiprotein histone methyltransferase complex (Cho et al., 2007 [PubMed 17500065]).[supplied by OMIM, May 2008].. Additionally we are shipping PAGR1 Proteins (7) and PAGR1 Kits (5) and many more products for this protein.

a PTIP (show PAXIP1 Antibodies)-PA1 subcomplex functions independently from the MLL3/MLL4 (show MLL4 Antibodies) complex to mediate transcription during CSR (show SCARA3 Antibodies)
subset of PTIP.PA1 complex is recruited to DNA damage sites via the RNF8 (show RNF8 Antibodies)-dependent pathway and is required for cell survival in response to DNA damage.
PA1 (also known as C16orf (show PAXIP1 Antibodies)53 in human and 2900092E17R (show PAXIP1 Antibodies)ik in mouse) binds PTIP directly and req (show MLL4 Antibodies)uires PTIP for interac (show HIST3H3 Antibodies)tion with the MLL3- and MLL4-containing histone H3 K4 methyltransferase complex.
PA1 expression was observed in both nucleus (mainly)and cytoplasm from breast cancer tissue samples. PA1 nuclear expression was correlated with postmenopausal, smaller tumor size, negative Ki67 (show MKI67 Antibodies), positive AR and positive ERbeta (show ESR2 Antibodies). PA1 nuclear positive cases seemed to have a longer survival than negative ones for RFS. For those patients without lymphnode metastasis PA1 was found to be an independent prognostic factor for RFS.
PA1 is a new competitive decelerator of GR transactivation and can act at more than one molecularly defined step in a manner that depends upon the specific gene
PA1 (C16orf53) binds PTIP (show PAXIP1 Antibodies) directly and requires PTIP (show PAXIP1 Antibodies) for interaction with the MLL3- and MLL4 (show MLL2 Antibodies)-containing histone H3 (show HIST3H3 Antibodies) K4 methyltransferase complex.
