  1. Letter: protein Z is not a typical acute phase reactant.

  2. PZ and ZPI (show SERPINA10 ELISA Kits) deficiency would be associated with a modest thrombotic risk with ZPI (show SERPINA10 ELISA Kits) deficiency producing a more severe phenotype.

Human Protein Z, Vitamin K-Dependent Plasma Glycoprotein (PROZ) interaction partners

  1. Data suggest oxidized lipid vesicles with phosphatidylserine/polyunsaturated fatty acids promote inactivation of ZPI (show SERPINA10 ELISA Kits)-PZ complex or free ZPI (show SERPINA10 ELISA Kits); binding of PZ-complexed or free ZPI (show SERPINA10 ELISA Kits) to oxidized vesicles mediates inactivation of ZPI (show SERPINA10 ELISA Kits) (an inhibitor of FXa (show F10 ELISA Kits)); blocking heparin- (anticoagulant-)binding site on ZPI (show SERPINA10 ELISA Kits) interferes with binding to lipid or PZ. (ZPI (show SERPINA10 ELISA Kits) = protein Z-dependent protease inhibitor (show SERPINA10 ELISA Kits); PZ = protein Z; FXa (show F10 ELISA Kits) = factor Xa (show F10 ELISA Kits))

  2. SAA (show SAA1 ELISA Kits), PROZ, and C4BPB (show C4BPB ELISA Kits) may serve as new potential biomarkers for TB

  3. Protein Z is a plasma protein involving blood coagulation and inflammation. Low protein Z was found to be associated significantly with acute my.ocardial infarction in coronary atherosclerosis disease patients

  4. Family-based association study revealed that the G allele of Protein Z rs2273971, and haplotypes GA, CG, and CGA (show CGA ELISA Kits) of Protein Z and factor VII (show TH ELISA Kits) had a significant effect on cerebral hemorrhage susceptibility.

  5. Protein Z G79A AG/AA polymorphism may be a risk factor for thrombosis in systemic lupus erythematosus Egyptian patients.

  6. Results show the energetic basis of the Z-dependent protease inhibitor (ZPI (show SERPINA10 ELISA Kits))-protein Z (PZ) interaction and suggest an important role for ZPI (show SERPINA10 ELISA Kits) Lys (show LYZ ELISA Kits)-239 in PZ catalytic action.

  7. The unbalance between PZ and ZPI (show SERPINA10 ELISA Kits) in plasma samples from patients with Colorectal Cancer or Pancreatic Cancer is not only related to an inflammatory state but could also results from an ectopic synthesis of these proteins by the cancer cells.

  8. Protein Z EGF2 subdomain constitutes an interactive-site for ZPI (show SERPINA10 ELISA Kits) protein.

  9. Protein Z/protein Z-dependent protease inhibitor (show SERPINA10 ELISA Kits) and Fxa (show F10 ELISA Kits) expression in human gastric cancer cells indicate that these proteins may play a role in anticoagulant events at the tumor tissue.

  10. active mutations of PZ in the serine protease (show F2 ELISA Kits) structural domain were found in women with fetal loss

PROZ Antigen Profile

Antigen Summary

This gene encodes a liver vitamin K-dependent glycoprotein that is synthesized in the liver and secreted into the plasma. The encoded protein plays a role in regulating blood coagulation by complexing with protein Z-dependent protease inhibitor to directly inhibit activated factor X at the phospholipid surface. Deficiencies in this protein are associated with an increased risk of ischemic arterial diseases and fetal loss. Mutations in this gene are the cause of protein Z deficiency. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
