HOXC9 (show HOXC9 Antibodies) regulates formation of parachordal lymphangioplasts and the thoracic duct in zebrafish via stabilin 2.
HARE/Stabilin-2 splice variants are expressed in bone marrow, lymph node, and spleen
a Link domain complex N-glycan is required specifically for HARE.hyaluronic acid-mediated activation of ERK1/2 (show MAPK1/3 Antibodies) and NF-kappaB (show NFKB1 Antibodies)-mediated gene expression
Loss of Stabilin-2 expression in peri (show PLIN1 Antibodies)-tumourous transdifferentiated liver endothelial cells correlates with increased survival by preventing endothelial-tumour cell adhesive interactions and microvascular invasion.
HARE may be part of a systemic tissue-stress sensor feedback system that responds to abnormal tissue turnover or damage as a danger signal
stabilin-2 acts as a receptor for necrotic cell clearance.
Hyaluronan binding to HARE mediates NF-kappaB (show NFKB1 Antibodies)-activated gene expression in a dose-dependent manner.
knockdown of endogenous alphavbeta5 expression or treatment with a function-blocking alphavbeta5 antibody significantly decreased stabilin-2-mediated phagocytosis in the absence of soluble factors
Ligament Flavum (LF) hypertrophy is accompanied by increased CD44 (show CD44 Antibodies) and CD44v5 expression. CD44v6 expression is not enhanced in LF hypertrophy.
The results indicate that Link domain N-glycans stabilize interactions that facilitate HA binding to HARE.
code for homologous transmembrane proteins featuring seven fasciclin-like adhesion domains, 18-20 epidermal-growth-factor (show EGF Antibodies) domains, one X-link domain and three to six B-(X(7))-B hyaluronan-binding motifs
Results show that Stab2 contributes to phosphatidylserine-dependent myoblast fusion and provide new insights into the molecular mechanism by which phosphatidylserine mediates myoblast fusion during muscle growth and regeneration.
A dramatic elevation in circulating hyaluronic acid levels in Stab2-deficient mice without any overt phenotype, is reported.
Adrenomedullin (show ADM Antibodies) treatment from day 14 to day 20 promoted the differentiation of stabilin-2-positive endothelial cells.
we show that stabilin-1 and stabilin-2 in hepatic sinusoidal endothelial cells (HSECs) are critical in effectively clearing damaged RBCs in mouse liver
Data suggest that stabilin-1 (show STAB1 Antibodies) and -2 together guarantee proper hepatic clearance of potentially noxious agents in the blood and maintain tissue homeostasis not only in the liver but also distant organs.
FEEL-1 (show STAB1 Antibodies) and this protein are endocytic receptors for advanced glycation end products.
analysis of mouse fasciclin-containing genes (betaigH3, periostin (show POSTN Antibodies), stabilin-1 (show STAB1 Antibodies), and stabilin-2) expression patterns during valvuloseptal morphogenesis

Stabilin-2-mediated aggregation is mediated by homophilic interactions and enhanced in the presence of Ca(2 (show CA2 Antibodies)+) and Mg(2 (show MCOLN1 Antibodies)+). Interestingly, exogenous addition of FAS1 (show FAS Antibodies) domains but not EGF (show EGF Antibodies)-like domains enhances stabilin-2-mediated cell aggregation
stabilin-2 contributes to adhesion and homing of circulating stem and progenitor cells to bone marrow.
This gene encodes a large, transmembrane receptor protein which may function in angiogenesis, lymphocyte homing, cell adhesion, or receptor scavenging. The protein contains 7 fasciclin, 15 epidermal growth factor (EGF)-like, and 2 laminin-type EGF-like domains as well as a C-type lectin-like hyaluronan-binding Link module. The protein is primarily expressed on sinusoidal endothelial cells of liver, spleen, and lymph node. The receptor has been shown to bind and endocytose ligands such as hyaluronan, low density lipoprotein, Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, and advanced glycosylation end products. Supporting its possible role as a scavenger receptor, the protein has been shown to cycle between the plasma membrane and lysosomes.
