This antibody recognises aminopeptidase N (APN), a cell surface protein homologous with human CD13. Clone R3-63 has been reported to block mouse APN enzyme activity. We recommend the use of SM1856A for this purpose.
Purification
Affinity chromatography on Protein G
Immunogen
Mouse intestinal APN. Spleen cells from immunised mice were fused with cells of the IR983F rat myeloma cell line.
Flow cytometry: 1/50 - 1/100, use 10 μL of the suggested working dilution to label 106 cells. Immunohistochemistry on frozen sections. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
