- Characteristics
- anti-rat Ig chain monoclonal antibody recognizes a determinant on rat kappa chains and binds preferentially to the Ig-1b allotype. This antibody provides a suitable marker for virtually all immunoglobin, regardless of class since 5 % or less of rat light chains are lambda. ABIN133284 detects surface immunoglobulin of rat peripheral blood B lymphocytes and has been used in indirect binding assays for detecting rat antibodies. Applications include flow cytometry for directly labelling rat B lymphocytes and as an excellent specific secondary antibody for use with rat monoclonals.

- Precaution of Use
- WARNING: Reagents contain sodium azide. Sodium azide is very toxic if ingested or inhaled. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wear eye or face protection when handling. If skin or eye contact occurs, wash with copious amounts of water. If ingested or inhaled, contact a physician immediately. Sodium azide yields toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide-containing compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in lead or copper plumbing.
- Handling Advice
- Product is photosensitive and should be protected from light.
