    Flow Cytometry (FACS)
    Specificity
    Rat Kappa Chain
    Characteristics
anti-rat Ig chain monoclonal antibody recognizes a determinant on rat kappa chains and binds preferentially to the Ig-1b allotype. This antibody provides a suitable marker for virtually all immunoglobin, regardless of class since 5 % or less of rat light chains are lambda. ABIN133283 detects surface immunoglobulin of rat peripheral blood B lymphocytes and has been used in indirect binding assays for detecting rat antibodies. Applications include flow cytometry for directly labelling rat B lymphocytes and as an excellent specific secondary antibody for use with rat monoclonals.
    Purification
Purified from ascites via Protein G Chromatography
    Immunogen
Pooled rat serum IgG . Fusion Partner: P3-NSI-1-Ag4 (NS1/1) . Donor: BALB/c spleen
    Clone
    OX-12
    Isotype
    IgG2a
  • Application Notes
Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator.
    Comment

    Excitation/Emission wavelength: 494 nm/514 nm

    Restrictions
    For Research Use only
  • Format
    Lyophilized
    Concentration
    0.1 mg/mL
    Buffer
PBS, 0.02 % NaN3 and EIA grade BSA as a stabilizing protein to bring total protein concentration to 4-5 mg/mL.
    Preservative
    Sodium azide
    Precaution of Use
WARNING: Reagents contain sodium azide. Sodium azide is very toxic if ingested or inhaled. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wear eye or face protection when handling. If skin or eye contact occurs, wash with copious amounts of water. If ingested or inhaled, contact a physician immediately. Sodium azide yields toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide-containing compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in lead or copper plumbing.
    Handling Advice
Product is photosensitive and should be protected from light.
    Storage
    4 °C/-20 °C
    Storage Comment
Store at 4°C. For long term storage aliquot and freeze unused portion at -20C in volumes appropriate for single usage. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
