Immunogen Synthetic peptide surrounding amino acid 262 of human PPAR gamma isoform CRA-c
Cross-Reactivity Human, Mouse (Murine)
Description PPAR (Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor) is a member of the nuclear hormonereceptor superfamily and functions as a transcriptional activator. PPAR gamma ispreferentially expressed in adipocyte as well as in vascular smooth muscle cells andmacrophage. Besides its role in mediating adipogenesis and lipids metabolism,PPARgamma also modulates insulin sensitivity, cell proliferation and inflammation. Theinhibition of PPAR gamma transcription activity is due to MAP kinase phosphorylation atserine 84 of PPARgamma.
Specificity The antibody recognizes a ~33 kDa band, corresponding to PPARgamma isoform CRA-c). Species: Human, mouse. Others not tested. Pictures: Western blot analysis of PPARgamma in lysate from3T3 cells (Lane 1) and Jurkat Cells (Lane 2,3) usingantibody ABIN191899
