Reacts with the GPI-anchored plasma membrane glycoprotein (56-64 kDa) neutrophil-specific antigen NB1. CD177 is expressed on neutrophils, neutrophillic metamyelocytes and myelocytes from 89 to 97 % of healthy individuals. Its expression is upregulated on granulocytes stimulated with the chemotactic peptide f-met-leu-phe (fMLP). The function of CD177 has not been fully elucidated at this time, however, some findings suggest its possible role as receptor molecule. Profile of peripheral blood granulocytes analyzed by flow cytometry. Second step staining with Cat. No. 555988.
