This Mouse GT1 peptide sequence is 100 % conserved in rat, human, rabbit, bovine, and pig Glut-1 and 90 % in chicken. It has no significant sequence homology with other gluts.

Target
GLUT1 (SLC2A1)
(Solute Carrier Family 2 (Facilitated Glucose Transporter), Member 1 (SLC2A1))
Alternative Name
GLUT1
Background
Glut-1 acts as a facilitative glucose transporter by mediating glucose transport into red cells, and throughout the blood brain barrier, and the supply glucose to most cells. This isoform may be responsible for constitutive or basal glucose uptake.
