Specificity: This antibody recognises the murine homologue of human CD11c, which is a 150/90 kDa member of the beta 2 integrin family. In mice, CD11c is primarily expressed by dendritic cells. Clone N418 has been reported to enhance antigen specific responses when used to target dendritic cells in vivo.

Application Details

Application Notes: Flow Cytometry: 1/200 - 1/500, use 10 μL of the suggested working dilution to label 10^6cells in 100 μL, The Fc region of monoclonal antibodies may bind non-specifically to cellsexpressing low affinity Fc receptors.
Other applications not tested.
Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

Background: CD11b is implicated in various adhesive interactions of monocytes, macrophages and granulocytes as well as in mediating the uptake of complement coated particles. It is identical to CR3, the receptor for the iC3b fragment of the third complement component. It probably recognizes the RGD peptide in C3b. CD11b is also a receptor for fibrinogen, factor X and ICAM1. It recognizes P1 and P2 peptides of fibrinogen gamma chain. The Mac1 CD11b antigen is present on macrophages, granulocytes, natural killer cells, blood monocytes.
