Immunogen Peptide with sequence C-ERLQALKTMKQH, from the C Terminus of the protein sequence
Specificity This antibody reacts to FACE1.
Purification Affinity chromatography
Alternative Name ZMPSTE24
Background The protein encoded by this gene is a zinc metalloprotease similar to yeast Ste24p. It is an integral membrane protein belonging to peptidase family M48 and is found in the endoplasmic reticulum and possibly in the Golgi compartment. It proteolytically removes the C-terminal three residues of farnesylated proteins, and acts on lamin A/C.
Alternate names: CAAX prenyl protease 1 homolog, FACE-1, FACE1, Farnesylated proteins-converting enzyme 1, Prenyl protein-specific endoprotease 1, STE24, Zinc metalloproteinase Ste24 homolog
Gene ID 10269, 9606
UniProt O75844
Research Area Proteolysis / Ubiquitin, Cytoskeleton
Application Notes Peptide ELISA: 1/128000. Western Blot: 0.5 - 1.5 µg/ml. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
