Immunogen KLH conjugated synthetic peptide selected from the C-terminal region of human RB1
Specificity This antibody reacts to RB1.
Purification Saturated Ammonium Sulfate (SAS) precipitation
Alternative Name Retinoblastoma-associated protein / RB1
Background RB1 is a negative regulator of the cell cycle and was the first tumor suppressor gene found. This protein also stabilizes constitutive heterochromatin to maintain the overall chromatin structure. The active, hypophosphorylated form of the protein binds transcription factor E2F1.
Alternate names: OSRC, Rb, Retinoblastoma 1, p105-Rb, pRb, pp110
Gene ID 5925
NCBI Accession NP_000312
UniProt P06400
Application Notes ELISA: 1/1,000. Western blotting: 1/50 - 1/100. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
