Product Details anti-MCL-1 Antibody

Target Details MCL-1 Application Details Handling Images
Specificity Recognizes human, dog, guinea pig, monkey, pig and rabbit Mcl-1. Detects a band of ~42/43 kDa by Western blot.
Characteristics Mcl-1 is a member of the Bcl-2 family that possesses anti-apoptotic activity. Mcl-1 is an immediate-early gene activated by the GMCSF as well as IL-3 signaling pathways and plays an important role in the viability response of these cytokines. Similar to all Bcl-2 family members, Mcl-1 contains BH1, BH2, and BH3 domains, however, unlike other members of this family, Mcl-1 has an extended N-terminal domain rich in PEST sequences, which probably accounts for the short half-life of this protein
Purification Peptide affinity purified.
Immunogen Synthetic peptide corresponding to a portion of human Mcl-1.

Format Liquid
Buffer In PBS containing 0.09 % sodium azide.
Preservative Sodium azide
Precaution of Use WARNING: Reagents contain sodium azide. Sodium azide is very toxic if ingested or inhaled. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wear eye or face protection when handling. If skin or eye contact occurs, wash with copious amounts of water. If ingested or inhaled, contact a physician immediately. Sodium azide yields toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide-containing compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in lead or copper plumbing.
