ARFGAP1 (show ARFGAP3 Antibodies) is found associated with lipid droplets at steady state in some but not all hepatocytes.
ARFGAP1 (show ARFGAP3 Antibodies) is a host factor for Hepatitis C Virus RNA replication, and is hijacked by HCV NS5A to remove COPI cargo Sac1 (show SACM1L Antibodies) from the site of HCV replication to maintain high levels of PI4P.
ArfGAP1 (show ARFGAP3 Antibodies) is identified as the first GTPase activating protein (GAP) for leucine-rich repeat kinase 2 (LRRK2 (show LRRK2 Antibodies)).
role of ARFGAP1 (show ARFGAP3 Antibodies) in AP-2 (show GTF3A Antibodies)-regulated endocytosis has mechanistic parallels with its roles in COPI transport, as both its GAP activity and coat function contribute to promoting AP-2 (show GTF3A Antibodies) transport
The small GTPases of the Ras superfamily mediate numerous biological processes through their ability to cycle between an inactive GDP-bound and an active GTP (show AK3 Antibodies)-bound form.
ArfGAP1 (show ARFGAP3 Antibodies) interacts with the Golgi through multiple hydrophobic motifs and that alternative modes of interaction may exist in tissue-specific ArfGAP1 (show ARFGAP3 Antibodies) isoforms.
SMAP2 (show BRD8 Antibodies) functions in the retrograde, early endosome-to-trans golig network pathway in a clathrin- and AP-1 (show FOSB Antibodies)-dependent manner.
coatomer (show ARCN1 Antibodies) is an allosteric regulator of Arf GAP1
Differential roles of ArfGAP1 (show ARFGAP3 Antibodies), ArfGAP2 (show arfgap2 Antibodies), and ArfGAP3 (show ARFGAP3 Antibodies) in COPI trafficking
ArfGAP1 (show ARFGAP3 Antibodies), ArfGAP2 (show arfgap2 Antibodies), and ArfGAP3 (show ARFGAP3 Antibodies) have overlapping roles in regulating COPI function in Golgi-to-ER retrograde transport.
data suggest that ArfGAP1 (show ARFGAP3 Antibodies) can be used as a specific marker of the dentate mossy fibers and as for visualization of cortical layers in immunohistochemical studies
termination of Arf1 (show ARF1 Antibodies) signals mediated through GGA require that Arf1 (show ARF1 Antibodies).GTP (show AK3 Antibodies) dissociates from GGA prior to interaction with GAP and consequent hydrolysis of GTP (show AK3 Antibodies)
The protein encoded by this gene is a GTPase-activating protein (GAP) which associates with the Golgi apparatus and which interacts with ADP-ribosylation factor 1 (ARF1). The encoded protein promotes hydrolysis of ARF1-bound GTP and is required for the dissociation of coat proteins from Golgi-derived membranes and vesicles. Dissociation of the coat proteins is required for the fusion of these vesicles with target compartments. The activity of this protein is stimulated by phosphoinosides and inhibited by phosphatidylcholine. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
