|Alternative Name||MAP2K1IP1 (MAPKSP1 Antibody Abstract)|
The function of MP1 (MEK partner-1) a 14kDa scaffold protein, is to bind specifically toMEK1 and ERK1 and bring them in close proximity in order to facilitate their activation(1). Localized to the late endosome, MP1 also interacts with an adaptor protein p14.While the interaction between MP1-ERK1 can take place in the absence of the adaptorprotein p14, it is strengthened in the presence of p14 (2). Additionally, it has beensuggested that the binding of MP1 to MEK1resides in a proline-rich sequence (residue270-307) of MEK1. Alternate Names: anti-MEK binding partner 1 antibody, anti-MEK partner 1 antibody, anti-Mitogenactivated protein kinase kinase 1 interacting protein 1 antibody, anti-MP1 antibody.

|Precaution of Use||WARNING: Reagents contain sodium azide. Sodium azide is very toxic if ingested or inhaled. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wear eye or face protection when handling. If skin or eye contact occurs, wash with copious amounts of water. If ingested or inhaled, contact a physician immediately. Sodium azide yields toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide-containing compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in lead or copper plumbing.|
