  1. By RNA sequencing, we show that specific inhibition of complex II (succinate dehydrogenase (show SDHA Antibodies); SDH (show SARDH Antibodies)) by atpenin A5 in normoxic conditions mimics hypoxia and induces hypoxic transcripts as well as APOBEC3A (show APOBEC3A Antibodies)-mediated RNA editing in human monocytes.

  2. The findings demonstrate that DNA replication provides ssDNA substrate that is susceptible to deamination by A3A (show DAG1 Antibodies). Thus, aberrant A3A (show DAG1 Antibodies) activity leading to genomic damage may specifically impact rapidly replicating cells

  3. results suggest that the APOBEC3A (show APOBEC3A Antibodies)/3B deletion polymorphism is not significantly associated with cancer risk in our study population

  4. Our results suggest that genetic variations in driver and APOBEC3 (show APOBEC3F Antibodies) genes were associated with the risk of BC and may have impact on clinical outcome.

  5. APOBEC3A (show APOBEC3A Antibodies) and APOBEC3B (show APOBEC3B Antibodies) preferentially deaminate the lagging strand template during DNA replication.

  6. Germline variant and deletion polymorphism in APOBEC3A (show APOBEC3A Antibodies) gene are not associated with breast cancer risk.

  7. These results indicate that the mechanisms of APOBEC3 (show APOBEC3F Antibodies) restriction of Koala Retro Virus by humanA3G and mouseA3 differ (deamination dependent vs. independent) and glyco-gag does not play a role in the restriction.

  8. The role of APOBEC3A (show APOBEC3A Antibodies) in mediating this change was confirmed by A3A (show DAG1 Antibodies) overexpression in Fujioka cells, which led to a significant increase in WT1 (show WT1 Antibodies) c.1303G>A mRNA editing.

  9. This study demonstrates the cellular RNA editing activity of a member of the APOBEC3 (show APOBEC3F Antibodies) family of innate restriction factors and expands the understanding of C>U RNA editing in mammals.

  10. Structural studies show that specific binding of single-stranded DNA is regulated by the cooperative dimerization of APOBEC3A (show APOBEC3A Antibodies).

  1. The present results provided evidence that polymorphisms of ANGPTL6 gene were associated with growth and slaughter traits.

Mouse (Murine) Angiopoietin-Like 6 (ANGPTL6) interaction partners

  1. In addition to pronounced angiogenesis and epidermal hyperplasia, marked enlargement of dermal lymphatic vessels was observed in UV-B-exposed Angptl6/AGF transgenic mice.

  2. we show that (>80%) of the AGF-deficient mice die at about embryonic day 13, while the surviving AGF-deficient mice develop marked obesity, lipid accumulation in skeletal muscle and liver, and insulin (show INS Antibodies) resistance accompanied by reduced energy expenditure

  3. Our results strongly suggest that AGF is an integrin ligand as well as a mitogenic growth factor and theoretically participates in cutaneous wound healing in a more complex mechanism.

  4. Activation of an ERK1/2 (show MAPK1/3 Antibodies)-eNOS (show NOS3 Antibodies)-NO pathway is a crucial signaling mechanism by which angiopoietin-related growth factor increases blood flow through induction of angiogenesis and arteriogenesis.

Angiopoietin-Like 6 (ANGPTL6) Antigen Profile

Antigen Summary

This gene is a member of the cytidine deaminase gene family. It is one of seven related genes or pseudogenes found in a cluster, thought to result from gene duplication, on chromosome 22. Members of the cluster encode proteins that are structurally and functionally related to the C to U RNA-editing cytidine deaminase APOBEC1. The protein encoded by this gene lacks the zinc binding activity of other family members. The protein plays a role in immunity, by restricting transmission of foreign DNA such as viruses. One mechanism of foreign DNA restriction is deamination of foreign double-stranded DNA cytidines to uridines, which leads to DNA degradation. However, other mechanisms are also thought to be involved, as anti-viral effect is not dependent on deaminase activity. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
