Target Details HER2 Application Details Handling ProductDetails: References for anti-HER2 antibody (ABIN180510) Images
Specificity This antibody detects c-erbB-2 / Her-2 / neu. It reacts with the intact cells( 1,2), shows moderate effect on c-erbB-2 internalization (1), slightly increases (~2-fold) the tyrosine kinase activity (1), and inhibits (~90 %) the tumorigenic growth in CD1/nude mice of N87 human gastric carcinoma cell line overexpressing c-erbB-2 (1,2,3). Does not react with Mouse and rat.
Characteristics Synonyms: HER-2, NEU, p185erbB2, NGL, c-erbB-2, MNL19, Receptor tyrosine-protein kinase erbB-2,NEU proto-oncogene, Tyrosine kinase-type cell surface receptor HER2
Purification Protein G chromatography
Immunogen Intact SKBR-3 breast cancer cells (1)Remarks: Epitope: Extracellular domain. Mol. Wt. of Antigen: 185 kDa.

Antigen
Alternative Name CD340 / ERBB2 / HER2 (ERBB2 Antibody Abstract)
Background C-erbB-2, second member (c-erbB-2/HER-2/neu) of the c-erbB family is a receptor tyrosine kinase. It exhibits extracellular domains with two cysteine-rich sequences, and a cytoplasmic tyrosine kinase domain flanked by large hydrophilic tails that carry several tyrosine autophosphorylation sites. Approximately 25 % of primary breast and ovarian tumors were found to overexpress the protein.Synonyms: HER-2, MNL19, NEU, NEU proto-oncogene, NGL, Receptor tyrosine-protein kinase erbB-2, Tyrosine kinase-type cell surface receptor HER2, c-erbB-2, p185erbB2
Gene ID 2064
UniProt P04626
Pathways RTK Signaling, Fc-epsilon Receptor Signaling Pathway, EGFR Signaling Pathway, Neurotrophin Signaling Pathway, Skeletal Muscle Fiber Development
