  • Application Notes
ELISA: To detect mB-71 by direct ELISA (using 100 l/well antibody solution) this antibody can beused at a concentration of 0.15-0.30 μg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatiblesecondary reagents, allows the detection of at least 0.2 ng/well of recombinant mB-71. Western Blot: To detect mB-71 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at aconcentration of 0.1-0.2 μg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagentsthe detection limit for recombinant mB-71 is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing ornon-reducing conditions.
    Other applications not tested.
Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

    Background
The CD8 antigen is a cell surface glycoprotein found on most cytotoxic T lymphocytes that mediates efficient cell to cell interactions within the immune system. The CD8 antigen, acting as a coreceptor, and the T cell receptor on the T lymphocyte recognize antigen displayed by an antigen presenting cell (APC) in the context of class I MHC molecules. The functional coreceptor is either a homodimer composed of two alpha chains, or a heterodimer composed of one alpha and one beta chain. Both alpha and beta chains share significant homology to immunoglobulin variable light chains.Synonyms: Activation B7-1 antigen, B7-1, B7.1, BB1, CD28LG, CD28LG1, CTLA-4 counter-receptor B7.1, LAB7, T-lymphocyte activation antigen CD80
