    Characteristics

Description: Our Anti-Co-Rest/RCOR1 mouse monoclonal primary antibody is produced in-house from hybridoma clone K72/8. It detects human, mouse, and rat Co-Rest/RCOR1, and is purified by Protein A chromatography. It is great for use in IHC, ICC, IP, WB.

Manufacturer Comment: We produce our Co-Rest/RCOR1 mouse monoclonal primary antibody from hybridoma clone K72/8. It is great in IHC, ICC, IP, WB and is purified by Protein A chromatography.

    Purification

Produced by in vitro bioreactor culture of hybridoma line followed by Protein A affinity chromatography.

    Purity

    > 90% specific antibody

    Immunogen

Fusion protein amino acids 109-293 of human Co-Rest (accession number Q9UKL0), includes ELM2 and SANT domains, produced recombinantly in E. Coli

  • Target

    CoREST (RCOR1) (REST Corepressor 1 (RCOR1))

    Alternative Name

    RCOR1

    Background

Synonyms: REST corepressor 1 (Protein CoREST)

Target Description: REST Corepressor 1, CoREST or RCOR is encoded by the gene RCOR1 and is a member of the CoREST family of proteins. CoREST is a corepressor to the RE1 silencing transcription factor/neural restrictive silencing (REST) transcription factor and is part of a multiprotein complex (BHC complex) that represses transcription of neuron-specific genes in non-neuronal cells. This complex determines neural cell differentiation. CoREST is ubiquitously expressed in the nucleus of cells. Diseases associated with this gene include Huntington Disease and Loeys-Dietz Syndrome 1.

Gene Name Alternatives: RCOR1 KIAA0071 RCOR
