Western Blotting (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin-embedded Sections) (IHC (p)), Immunocytochemistry (ICC)
  • Specificity

Recognizes a 57-60kD protein, human Vimentin. Shows no cross-reactivity with other closely related intermediate filament proteins including desmin and GFAP. Species cross-reactivity: monkey, bovine, canine, feline, chicken and rat. Does not recognize mouse.

    Purification

    Purified

    Immunogen

Purified vimentin from porcine eye lens.

    Type of Immunogen: Purified protein

    Isotype

    IgG1
  • Application Notes

    Approved: ICC (5 - 10 μg/mL), IHC, IHC-P, WB (1:1000)

Usage: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry. Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-mouse secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system. Immunohistochemistry: 5-10 μg/mL, Can be used on formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissues with traditional high temperature, citrate buffer treatments. Prolonged formalin fixation can reduce antibody activity. Immunocytochemistry: 5-10 μg/mL. Positive control: Breast carcinoma tissue, colon, prostate, tonsil, tonsilar lymphoma, uterus and ureter.
