Specificity
- C-terminal pentapeptide of insulin beta-chain. MAbs 7F8, D4B8, 3A6 and 8E2 react with different antigenic determinants. Kass MAb 7F8 is 7.5 x 109 M-1 Kass MAb D4B8 is 1.5 x 108 M-1 Kass MAb 3A6 is 8.0 x 108 M-1 Kass MAb 8E2 is 6.0 x 108 M-1 Kass MAb C7C9 is 1.0 x 109 M-1 Kass MAb 7F5 is 1.0 x 109 M-1 These antibodies cross-react with human proinsulin, bovine insulin (30 % ) and porcine insulin. No cross-reaction with free C-peptide.
