Purpose
- CD50 Antibody (azide and preservative free)
-
Characteristics
- This antibody recognizes the D1 domain of an N-glycosylated glycoprotein of 120 kDa with intra-chain disulfide bonds, identified as CD50 or ICAM3 (Leucocyte Workshop VI). It is the major ligand for LFA-1 (CD11a/CD18) and may have signaling role to increase adhesion. It is expressed on thymocytes and T lymphocytes and is resistant to treatment with phosphatidylinositol (PI) phospholipase C. This CD50 antibody is excellent for staining of formalin/paraffin tissues.

Purification
- Protein G affinity chromatography
-
Immunogen
- Stimulated human leukocytes were used as the immunogen for this CD50 antibody.

Application Notes
-
The concentration stated for each application is a general starting point. Variations in protocols, secondaries and substrates may require the CD50 antibody to be titered up or down for optimal performance.
1. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes.
2. The prediluted format is supplied in a dropper bottle and is optimized for use in IHC. After epitope retrieval step (if required), drip mAb solution onto the tissue section and incubate at RT for 30 min. -
