  • Specificity

Detects both pro Caspase-3 (~32 kD) and the large subunit of the active/cleaved form (~14-21 kD) of Caspase-3. The large subunit of the cleaved form may appear as one or two or even as a stack of bands depending on the presence or absence of the Caspase-3 pro-domain. It is highly recommended that a maximum sensitivity ECL substrate (Femto sensitive) be used for efficient detection of this in Western blot applications.

    Purification

    Protein G purified

    Immunogen

Full length recombinant human Caspase-3 protein.

    Type of Immunogen: Recombinant protein

    Isotype

    IgG
  • Application Notes

    Approved: IHC, IHC-P (5 μg/mL), WB (2 - 3 μg/mL)

Usage: Immunohistochemistry: This antibody was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in  pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for this antibody was determined to be 5 μg/mL.
