A synthetic peptide from the n-terminal of human Glutathione peroxidase 3 conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the antigen. The peptide is homologous in many species including rat and mouse.
IHC WB. A concentration of 10-50,micro,g,ml is recommended. The optimal concentration should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.

Background
Function: Protects cells and enzymes from oxidative damage by catalyzing the reduction of hydrogen peroxide lipid peroxides and organic hydroperoxide by glutathione. Catalytic activity: 2 glutathione + H(2)O(2) = glutathione disulfide + 2 H(2)O. Subcellular location: Secreted.
