Binding Specificity: pSer129

Specificity: The antibody detects endogenous level of a-Synuclein only when phosphorylated at serine 129.

Purification: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific phosphopeptide. The antibody against non-phosphopeptide was removed by chromatography using non-phosphopeptide corresponding to the phosphorylation site.

Immunogen: Peptide sequence around phosphorylation site of pSer129 (M-P-S (p) -E-E) derived from Human a-Synuclein. Antibodies were produced by immunizing rabbits with synthetic phosphopeptide and KLH conjugates.

Induces fibrillization of microtubule-associated protein tau. Reduces neuronal responsiveness to various apoptotic stimuli, leading to a decreased caspase-3 activation.
