The Rabbit Polyclonal anti-Ezrin antibody (ABIN362230) specifically detects Ezrin in WB.
The antibody is reactive with Human, Mouse and Rat samples.
The antibody detects endogenous level of Ezrin only when phosphorylated at threonine 567.
Purification
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography usingepitope-specific phosphopeptide. The antibody against non-phosphopeptide was removedby chromatogramphy using non-phosphopeptide corresponding to the phosphorylation site.
Immunogen
Peptide sequence around phosphorylation site of pThr567 (Y-K-T (p) -L-R) derived from Human Ezrin. Antibodies were produced by immunizing rabbits with synthetic phosphopeptide and KLH conjugates.
Phosphate buffered saline (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 150 mM NaCl, 0.02 % sodium azide and 50 % glycerol.
Preservative
Sodium azide
Precaution of Use
This product contains sodium azide: a POISONOUS AND HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCE which should be handled by trained staff only.

Target
Ezrin (EZR)
Alternative Name
Ezrin
Background
Probably involved in connections of major cytoskeletal structures to the plasma membrane. In epithelial cells, required for the formation of microvilli and membrane ruffles on the apical pole. Along with PLEKHG6, required for normal macropinocytosis.
