    Specificity

The antibody detects endogenous level of Stathmin 1 only when phosphorylated at serine 25.

    Purification

The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific phosphopeptide. The antibody against non-phosphopeptide was removed by chromatography using non-phosphopeptide corresponding to the phosphorylation site.

    Immunogen

Peptide sequence around phosphorylation site of pSer25 (I-L-S (p) -P-R) derived from Human Stathmin 1. Antibodies were produced by immunizing rabbits with synthetic phosphopeptide and KLH conjugates.

    Isotype

    IgG

    Background

Involved in the regulation of the microtubule (MT) filament system by destabilizing microtubules. Prevents assembly and promotes disassembly of microtubules. Phosphorylation at Ser-16 may be required for axon formation during neurogenesis. Involved in the control of the learned and innate fear
