Application Notes

Peptide ELISA: Limit dilution 1: 32000. Western blot: 0.1-0.3´μg/mL. Experiments gave bands at approx 75 kDa and 150 kDa inhuman testis lysates and in cell lines HeLa and Jurkat after 0.1 μg/mL antibody staining. The 150 kDa band is explained by glycosylation of this member of the AMPK family. Thisprotein has a calculated MW of 74.6 kDa according to NP_055606.1.
Other applications not tested.
Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user. -

Background
- MELK, maternal embryonic leucine zipper kinase, belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. It contains 1 protein kinase domain and is expressed in placenta, kidney, thymus, testis, ovary and intestine. MELK phosphorylates ZNF622 and may contribute to its redirection to the nucleus.
