    Purification
Anti-Mitochondria antibody is specific for human mitochondria in all cell types. The antibody is a protein A purification from concentrated clarified cell culture supernate. The antibody reacts specifically with human cells, including neurons and embryonic stem cells. The antibody does not crossreact with mitochondria from mouse or rat.
    Immunogen

Immunogen: Anti-Mitochondria Monoclonal Antibody was produced by repeated immunizations with a human cell homogenate.

  • Application Notes

    Immunohistochemistry Dilution: 1:800

Application Note: Anti-Mitochondria antibody is suitable for use in Western Blotting, IHC and IF. Expect ~60 kDa in WB. Anti-Anti-Mitochondria antibody works on acetone fixed and 2 % paraformaldehyde fixed cells. The antibody also works for immunohistochemistry on 2 % paraformaldehyde fixed cryostat sections. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user.

    ELISA Dilution: 1:10,000 - 1:40,000

    Western Blot Dilution: 1:200 - 1:2,000

    IF Microscopy Dilution: 1:100 - 1:1,000

    Background

Synonyms: mouse anti-Mitochondria Antibody, Human cell marker antibody, xenographic model research antibodies, anti-mitochondria antibody produced in mouse

Background: Mitochondria antibody detects human Mitochondria. Mitochonria are most commonly known as the power plants of the cell as they produce ATP, but they are also involved in many other important cellular processes such as cell signaling, growth and differentiation. In addition, mitochondria have been shown to play a role in apoptosis. This antibody is an excellent marker for human cells in xenographic model research.
