    Purpose

    MEK1/2 phosphoS218/pS222 Antibody

    Cross-Reactivity (Details)

Anti-MEK 1/2 pS218/pS222 antibodies is directed against MEK protein phosphorylated at pS218 and pS222.

    Purification

The antibody was prepared from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity chromatography using phospho peptide coupled to agarose beads followed by solid phase adsorption(s) against non-phospho peptide and non-specific peptide to remove any unwanted reactivities.

    Immunogen

Anti-MEK 1/2 pS218/pS222 Antibody was produced in rabbit by repeated immunizations with synthetic phospho-peptide corresponding to amino acid residues surrounding Ser218/222 conjugated to KLH.

    Isotype

    IgG
  • Application Notes

    Optional[Neutralization_Dilution]: 1:1000

    Comment

Anti-MEK 1/2 pS218/pS222 (Rabbit) antibody is tested for use in Western Blotting. Specific conditions of reactivity should be optimized by the end user. Expect a band of approximately 45 kDa in size corresponding to the MEK 1/2 proteins phosphorylated at Ser218/222.

    Background

Synonyms: Dual specificity mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase 1, MAPKK 1, ERK activator kinase 1,MAPK/ERK kinase 1

Background: MEK 1/2 pS218/pS222 antibodies detect MEK 1. MAP Kinase Kinase, also known as MKK or MEK, is an integral component of the MAP kinase cascade that regulates cell growth and differentiation. This pathway also plays a key role in synaptic plasticity in the brain. Activated MEK 1 acts as a dual specificity kinase phosphorylating both a threonine and a tyrosine residue on MAP kinase. Therefore, MEK1/2 pS218/pS222 antibody is ideal for investigators involved in Neuroscience, Cell Signaling and Cancer Research
