Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Implicated in commitment to and/or differentiation of the myocardial lineage. Acts as a transcriptional activator of ANF in cooperation with GATA4. Also interacts with JARID2 which represses its ability to activate transcription of ANF. NKX2.5 antibody (pAb) was raised in a Rabbit host. It has been validated for use in Western blot, it has been shown to react with Human samples.
