    Purpose

Rabbit Anti-Krs-1/2 (phospho Thr183) Polyclonal Antibody

    Specificity

Phospho-Krs-1/2 (T183) Polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of Krs-1/2 protein only when phosphorylated at T183.

    Purification

The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen.

    Immunogen

Synthesized peptide derived from human Krs-1/2 Phospho-Thr183

    Isotype

    IgG

The encoded protein can phosphorylate myelin basic protein and undergoes autophosphorylation. A caspase-cleaved fragment of the encoded protein has been shown to be capable of phosphorylating histone H2B. The particular phosphorylation catalyzed by this protein has been correlated with apoptosis, and it's possible that this protein induces the chromatin condensation observed in this process.
