The Rabbit Polyclonal anti-PMCH antibody (ABIN7230714) specifically detects PMCH in ELISA, IHC and IF.
The antibody is reactive with Human, Mouse and Rat samples.
Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator. Suggested starting dilutions are as follows: IHC 1:50-200,ELISA 1:10000-20000,IF 1:50-200

Background
Pro-MCHPMCH encodes a preproprotein that is proteolytically processed to generate multiple protein products. These products include melanin-concentrating hormone (MCH), neuropeptide-glutamic acid-isoleucine (NEI), and neuropeptide-glycine-glutamic acid (NGE). Melanin-concentrating hormone is a 19-amino acid neuropeptide that stimulates hunger and may additionally regulate energy homeostasis, reproductive function, and sleep. Pseudogenes of PMCH have been identified on chromosome 5. PMCH (Pro-Melanin Concentrating Hormone) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with PMCH include Hypersomnia and Byssinosis. Among its related pathways are Signaling by GPCR and RET signaling.
