- ZFYVE26 (Zinc Finger, FYVE Domain Containing 26 (ZFYVE26))
-
Alternative Name
- ZFY26
-
Background
- Zinc finger FYVE domain-containing protein 26, FYVE domain-containing centrosomal protein, FYVE-CENT, SpastizinZFYVE26 encodes a protein which contains a FYVE zinc finger binding domain. The presence of this domain is thought to target these proteins to membrane lipids through interaction with phospholipids in the membrane. Mutations in ZFYVE26 are associated with autosomal recessive spastic paraplegia-15.
