-
Alternative Name
- NF45
-
Background
- Background: The 45 kDa nuclear factor of activated T-cells (NF45) functions as part of a heterodimeric complex with NF90 to form the transcription factor, NFAT (nuclear factor of activated T-cells). The NF45/NF90 complex binds the interleukin-2 promoter and regulates transcription of the IL2 gene during T-cell activation. It has also been shown that the NF45/NF90 complex can function as a negative regulator of miRNA biogenesis.
