JunB (JUNB) (Jun B Proto-Oncogene (JUNB))

    Alternative Name

    JunB

    Background

Background: JunB is a transcription factor that binds DNA as a homodimer or as a heterodimer with other members of the Jun/Fos family. JunB plays a role in regulating gene activity following the primary growth factor response. JunB binds to the DNA sequence 5'-TGA[CG]TCA-3' [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) P17275].
