Background: Background: FALZ is the largest subunit of the nucleosome-remodeling factor (NURF) which catalyzes nucleosome sliding and facilitates chromatin remodeling and transcription. The PHD finger has been demonstrated to bind methyl-lysine and may function to couple histone trimethylation with chromatin remodeling.
