Background
- C-type lectin domain family 1 member B,CLEC2 (C-type lectin-like receptor 2) functions as a platelet receptor for the lymphatic endothelial marker, PDPN, and mediates platelet activation. Besides platelets, it can be found on myeloid cells and NK cells. CLEC2 functions also as an attachment factor for HIV-1 and facilitates its capture by platelets. Platelet-aggregating snake venom protein rhodocytin also binds to CLEC2.,CLEC1B, CLEC2B, PRO1384, QDED721
