Comment
-
Recombinant Anti-CD20 Fab fragment Antibody has been tested for use in Flow Cytometry. This antibody recognizes structured CD20 and will work in western blot when the protein has not been denatured with DTT or bMe. Although not tested, this antibody could be useful in in IHC and in in-vivo and other cellular assays. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user.

Background
- Membrane Spanning 4-Domains A1, Recombinant Monoclonal CD20, RabMab CD20, Bp35, Membrane-Spanning 4-Domains, Subfamily A, Member 1, Leukocyte Surface Antigen Leu-16, B-Lymphocyte Antigen CD20, CD20 Antigen, MS4A2, CD20, B1, Membrane-Spanning 4-Domains Subfamily A Member 1, B-Lymphocyte Cell-Surface Antigen B1, B-Lymphocyte Surface Antigen B1, CD20 Receptor, LEU-16, CVID5, MS4A1, S7, Rituximab, Rituxan,CD20 is a 33-37 kD, four transmembrane spanning protein, also known as B1 and Bp35. CD20 is expressed on pre-B-cells, resting and activated B cells (not plasma cells), some follicular dendritic cells, and at low levels on a T cell subset. CD20 is heavily phosphorylated on activated B cells and malignant B cells. Homo-oligomeric complexes of CD20 are thought to form Ca2+ conductive ion channels in the plasma membrane of B cells. The CD20 Molecule is involved in B-cell activation and is associated with various Src family kinases (Lyn, Lck, Fyn). It exists in a complex with MHC class I and II, CD53, CD81, and CD82. Anti-CD20 antibody, Rituximab, sold under the brand name Rituxan, is a medication used to treat certain autoimmune diseases and types of cancer. It is used for non-Hodgkin lymphoma, chronic lymphocytic leukemia (in non-geriatric patients), rheumatoid arthritis, granulomatosis with polyangiitis, idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, pemphigus vulgaris, myasthenia gravis and Epstein-Barr virus-positive mucocutaneous ulcers. Biosimilars of Rituxan include Blitzima, Riabni, Ritemvia, Rituenza (F.K.A. Tuxella), Rixathon, Ruxience, and Truxima. This antibody is made from a Rituximab Fab fragment making it specific, efficient, and effective. Recombinant Anti-CD20 Fab fragment Antibody is useful for researchers interested in autoimmune disease and cancer research.
