Clone

CTNG-1483
  • Purpose

Catenin, gamma (Cardiomyocyte Marker) (CTNG/1483), CF740 conjugate

    Characteristics

Gamma catenin, also known as JUP or junction plakoglobin, is a member of the catenin family. The catenins (alpha, beta, gamma, and delta) are ubiquitously expressed, cytoplasmic proteins that associate with E-cadherin at cellular junctions. Catenin/cadherin complexes play an important role in mediating cellular adhesion, including adherens junctions.Primary antibodies are available purified, or with a selection of fluorescent CF® Dyes and other labels. CF® Dyes offer exceptional brightness and photostability. Note: Conjugates of blue fluorescent dyes like CF®405S and CF®405M are not recommended for detecting low abundance targets, because blue dyes have lower fluorescence and can give higher non-specific background than other dye colors.

    Immunogen

Recombinant human full-length gamma catenin protein

    Isotype

    IgG1, kappa
  • Application Notes

Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10 mM Tris, 1 mM EDTA pH 9.0 for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min. Immunohistology (formalin) 0.1-0.2 μg/mL. Flow Cytometry 0.5-1 μg/million cells/0.1 mL. Immunofluorescence 1-2 μg/mL. Western blotting 0.5-1 μg/mL. Optimal dilution for a specific application should be determined by user
