Background
- Neurotensin receptor type 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the NTSR1 gene. Neurotensin receptor 1 belongs to the large superfamily of G-protein coupled receptors. NTSR1 mediates the multiple functions of neurotensin, such as hypotension, hyperglycemia, hypothermia, antinociception, and regulation of intestinal motility and secretion.
