The Mouse Monoclonal anti-GPI antibody (Clone CPTC-GPI-1) (ABIN7878292) specifically detects GPI in WB, IF and IHC (p).
The antibody is reactive with Human samples.
Optimal dilution of the Glucose 6-Phosphate Isomerase antibody should be determined by the researcher.

Background
In addition to it's role as a glycolytic enzyme, mammalian GPI can function as a tumor-secreted cytokine and an angiogenic factor (AMF) that stimulates endothelial cell motility. GPI is also a neurotrophic factor (Neuroleukin) for spinal and sensory neurons. Defects in GPI are the cause of hemolytic anemia non-spherocytic due to glucose phosphate isomerase deficiency.
