- HDLBP (High Density Lipoprotein Binding Protein (HDLBP))
-
Alternative Name
- HDLBP
-
Background
-
Background: Vigilin is a 110 kDa protein that in humans is encoded by the HDLBP gene. The protein encoded by this gene binds high density lipoprotein (HDL) and may function to regulate excess cholesterol levels in cells. The encoded protein also binds RNA and can induce heterochromatin formation.
Gene Full Name: high density lipoprotein binding protein
