Application
- Flow Cytometry (FACS), Western Blotting (WB), ELISA, Immunoprecipitation (IP), Functional Studies (Func)
- Specificity
- Reacts with the human monocyte marker CD14, a 53 kDa glycoprotein. Inhibits the endotoxin induced release of TNF by monocytes because it blocks the binding of LPS-LBP to monocytes. The antibody reacts with both soluble and monocyte surface CD14.
- Immunogen
-
A crude mixture of human urinary proteins precipitated by ammonium sulphate from the urine of a patient suffering from proteinuria.
